can't stop thinking about you...

Three seasons on and I can't get this collection out of my head. Even though three seasons - a year and a half - doesn't seem that long ago, in the fashion world, where everything moves and breakneck speed and then some, it seems much longer. Khakis, grey marle, straight shapes and drill cotton; silk skirts and boyish pullovers with toirtoise-shell glasses and leopard print furs. There are the things that can be worn through seasons and seasons and seasons. You can look back through your wardrobe in years to come, past the batwings, past the neon bursts of colours, even past those skin-tight jeans, and unearth these timeless gems. Again...

Some of the things I've been up to whilst neglecting this blog...

Moving! I've finally moved into a little terrace house in Paddington in Sydney, just off Oxford St. So I've been spending what little spare time I have.....

Exploring. Love finding little gems around my local area in the way of boutiques, vintage shops, bustling cafes and hidden bars. Took my friends from Adelaide to a cute pizza place when they were visiting which had grass sprouting from the ceiling and crayons supplied at all the tables to entertain the (grown-up) kids. Can't wait to trawl around the eastern streets some more with my friend from the CakeFace.

Lusting over some very very very amazing items both online and from some of Sydney's best stores - namely the Corner Shop in Paddington, and namely thanks to the ever spot-on Hannah-Rose, from my favourite Capture the Castle. Some of these include (and are most definitely NOT limited to....)

If someone told me I could only wear one shirt for the rest of my life, this would be it. This military shirt by Current/Elliott isn't called the Perfect Shirt for nothing. A shirt is probably the staple item in layering for in-between seasons. Team with a fur gilet and a woollen scarf and you're all set for a chilly autumn. Pair it with sandal-clogs and distressed boyfriend jeans and you've got yourself a go-to outfit for when the weather warms up. Now, to work on all the other items on my wishlist...namely that Celine box bag. And the PS1.Ok, let's just say I'll have it all and call it a day.

 

Animal Instinct

This trend needs no introduction. Animal print. It's always been around, and it's making a revival. Whether it's out in full force at Roberto Cavalli or in the details and mixed prints at Dries Van Noten, there's no escaping it. And when it looks like this, why would you want to?

Vogue Germany's newest covergirl Abbey Lee. This girl's on fire: as well as the Vogue Germany cover she's got this month's Vogue Nippon; as well as recently being lensed by Lagerfeld for Numéro Homme, and has a bundle of fall campaigns including cK Calvin Klein, Jaeger London, Chanel and Mulberry.
